Woman’s body ID’d as Waterville missing-person case

WENATCHEE — The body of a young woman found last week near Horse Lake Road is that of a Waterville teenager who went missing last year, and her death is considered suspicious.

Police identified the woman as 18-year-old Hannia “Paulina” Mosqueda Rodriguez, missing since October. Hikers found her remains March 17h off one of the Wenatchee foothills hiking trails. She was identified by autopsy.

Mosqueda’s family had not heard from her since Oct. 14. Her case remains under investigation by the sheriff’s departments in Chelan and Douglas County, along with the Wenatchee Police.

Anyone with information about Mosqueda’s disappearance is asked to call the sheriff’s tip line at 667-6845.
