Woman attacked by dog in Wenatchee neighborhood near Lewis and Clark Park


WENATCHEE — A woman says she and her one of her dogs were attacked by a pitbull-type dog last week in Wenatchee. Animal control officials are now looking for the dog and its owner.

The Wenatchee Valley Humane Society says the attack happened last Thursday about 11:45 a.m. at the corner of Brown Street and Central Avenue. The woman says she was walking her two dogs when the chestnut-colored dog with white markings on its face attacked her and one of her dogs.

She said a man then grabbed the pitbull and got into a black SUV and left the scene, pulling into the Cedarwood Apartments parking lot. Anyone with information is asked to contact Animal Care & Control at 662-9577, Option 1.
