Wild Blank PG 3-0 to Win BCHL Championship

WENATCHEE, WA – Wenatchee Wild fans had barely a chance to warm their seats as Game 5 of the Fred Page Cup playoffs got underway last night, when the home team scored. Those same fans were out of their seats many more times throughout the evening as Wenatchee claimed the 2018 BCHL Championship by downing the Prince George Spruce Kings 3-0. Zack Galambos scored two goals and AJ Vanderbeck scored the finale while Austin Park pitched a shutout in goal. Arch Ecker had the exciting call on the Wenatchee Wild Hockey Network…

Of course, it’s not REALLY final until John Grisdale, President of the BCHL, presents the Fred Page Cup…

Congratulations to the Wenatchee Wild, 2018 Fred Page Cup BCHL Champions!!!

Wenatchee Awaits AJHL Champion for Next Playoffs

The season doesn’t end here for Wenatchee. They’ll move on to play the Alberta Junior Hockey League champion. That best-of-seven series between the Spruce Grove Saints and Okotoks Oilers goes to Game 5 tonight with the Saints owning a 3-1 advantage. Game 1 and 2 would be in Wenatchee next Friday and Saturday with a possible Game 3 Sunday at the Town Toyota Center if the Wild lose one of the first two games. The rest of the series would be played in Alberta.
