We got here by virtue of Friday night’s 4-2 win by the Warriors to take a 3-2 series lead. So last night was a must-win for Wenatchee to stay alive and they did it.

The Wild scored first 5-minutes into the game on a power-play goal by Lucas Sowder. West Kelowna tied it less than a minute later on Parm Dhaliwal’s 6th goal of the series. It would remain tied until the third.

Prep Soccer season kicked off

On Friday, Eastmont blanked Central Valley 2-nil while Wenatchee topped Mead 1-nothing. Then on Saturday, the Panthers beat the Bears 2-to-1 and the Wildcats topped the Mead Panthers 1-nil.

Eastmont’s baseball game this Saturday versus Auburn has been moved to the west side of the mountains. Friday’s schedule soccer game between Eastmont and Sunnyside has been moved to the Apple Bowl Saturday and will start at 7:30.

With Thursday’s postponement of Wenatchee and Cascade softball, we’ll shift to a Hockey Night and air Game 6 of the Wenatchee and West Kelowna playoff series. Eastmont’s soccer match with Sunnyside was moved to Saturday night. Instead, watch Game 7 of the Wild and Warrior’s series will air Friday at 7. And finally on Saturday night, we’ll bring you the Wildcats and Grizzlies in a Big 9 soccer opener for the two programs from the Apple Bowl at 7:30.
