Wild Win in Double Overtime, Go For Title Tonight

After Monday's double overtime win, the Wenatchee Wild go for the BCHL Title in Game 4 tonight.


Wild Down Prince George 4-3 in 2OT in Game 3

WENATCHEE, WA – How far is Prince George, B.C. from Wenatchee? 616-miles. That’s over 12-hours by bus. It would be closer if you went to Redding, California or even Calgary, Alberta!!! But Prince George was the destination for the Wenatchee Wild last night for Game 3 of the Fred Page Memorial Cup. Wenatchee was leading the series 2-games-to-none heading into the game last night at Rolling Mix Concrete Arena. The two teams combined for seven goals with the Wild striking first just 3-minutes into the game. So Zack Galambos with the game-winner in double overtime as Wenatchee goes up 3-games-to-none and can wrap up the BCHL Championship in Game 4 tonight at 7 o’clock.

Baseball, Softball, Golf and Tennis on Prep Schedule

Turning to the prep sports schedule for today…
In boys soccer, Cascade travels to Okanogan, Cashmere’s at Omak and Manson hosts Brewster, all at 4:30. Eastmont’s game at Davis kicks off at 5. And, LIVE at 7 tonight on the NCWLIFE Channel, we’ll bring you Wenatchee and Eisenhower from the Apple Bowl. Sebastian Moraga and Matt Wisen have your play-by-play as the Panthers try to snap a two game losing streak.

On the baseball diamonds today…
Cashmere plays at Chelan. Manson hosts Soap Lake. And Waterville-Mansfield is in Bridgeport all at 4:30. Eastmont hosts Davis at Dan White Field at 5 o’clock today while Wenatchee is on the road at West Valley.

There are a couple doubleheaders in softball today…
Cashmere’s at Warden at 3 while Okanogan hosts Chelan at 3:30. Then at 4, Eastmont plays at Davis while Wenatchee hosts West valley. At 4:30 it’s Soap Lake at Manson and Waterville-Mansfield at Bridgeport.

The Big 9 girls are at Black Rock Golf Course today for a Noon tee time in their 4th POD of the season. In Tennis, Wenatchee’s at Sunnyside at 3 while Cashmere travels to Chelan, Cascade hosts Omak at Lake Roosevelt’s at Entiat all at 4 o’clock. On the track today, it all begins at 4 with Chelan and Entiat at Tonasket; Cascade hosts Cashmere; and Waterville-Mansfield and Manson travel to Omak.

Paxton Deals, Cruz Delivers, and Dee Drives a Double

James Paxton and three relievers 3-hit the Houston Astros last night in a 2-1 Mariner win…
“Big Maple” threw 6-innings, allowing 1-run on 2-hits and struck out 7 to improve to 1-and-1 on the season. Nelson Cruz was back in the lineup and hit a solo home run in the 4th to tie it. Then Dee Gordon smacked an RBI double in the 6th to win it. Edwin Diaz earned his 7th save in the 9th. Seattle and Houston play again tonight at Safeco Field at 7:10 with Ariel Miranda making his first start of the season against the Astro’s Lance McCullers, Jr.
