Wenatchee Wild Explode for 7 Goals in Win

WENATCHEE, WA – The Wenatchee Wild remained undefeated in round robin play with a 7-1 win over Wellington today at the RBC Cup in Chilliwack. It didn’t take the Wild long to score, as Zack Galambos scored 24-seconds into the contest. August Von Ungern put Wenatchee up 2-0 with an unassisted goal 8-minutes later. Andrew Rinaldi drew the Dukes within one at the 13:59 mark of the 1st. Sam Hesler scored a power-play goal with just 3-seconds remaining in the 1st to put Wenatchee up 3-1 at the break.

Galambos and Von Ungern Each Score Two for Wild

Wenatchee would play add-on in the 2nd period as Cooper Zech, Galambos and Von Ungern scored goals. Wenatchee got one more late in the 3rd with reserve Drake Usher getting into the scoring column.

Seth Eisele got the start in goal today and was stellar.
The victory puts Wenatchee into the semifinal Saturday as the #1 seed and they’ll have their choice of playing at 2 or 7 o’clock against either Steinbach or Wellington.
