When COVID-19 claims a life: Dawn Adair Nichols, 1961-2020

EAST WENATCHEE — Thirteen people have died from COVID-19 in the Wenatchee Valley, leaving families behind to mourn their loved ones. Dawn Nichols of East Wenatchee was the 10th person claimed by the virus in Chelan and Douglas Counties when she died July 15, at the age of 59. She was a home care nursing assistant who worked with disabled clients around the valley. Her children recently spoke with NCWLIFE about Dawn’s life, and the experience of losing someone to the pandemic.
