West Valley beat Wenatchee 50-41 to move into a tie for first in league standings behind Logan Kinloch’s 22-points, 11 of which in the first quarter. Garrett Long led Wenatchee with 12 points while JJ Jelsing had 11. Wenatchee must win Friday and get some help from Davis against West Valley to take the league title.

Also last night, Eastmont’s Isaac Wellborn went off for 38-points with seven 3-pointers as the Wildcats beat Sunnyside in overtime 81-75. Preston Esparza kicked in 15 while Trey Haberlock had 11 as Eastmont finishes the season 5-and-7 in league play and will travel to either Moses Lake or Davis for the district play-in game next Tuesday.

Sunnyside clinches title, Wenatchee eliminated

Despite 13-points from Kaitlyn Cox, Sunnyside dispatched Eastmont 77-48 to clinch the Big 9 league title and won for the 9th straight time. Eastmont will play at Davis in a district play-in game next Tuesday at 5:45.

Wenatchee was officially eliminated from the post-season, falling at West Valley 53-28. Emily Redman led the Panthers with 11 points, who will finish the season tomorrow at home against Moses Lake.

Cashmere High School freshman Bella Fox has been chosen to attend a junior development camp for the United States Biathlon Association held next week in Soldiers Hollow, Utah…

This event is held concurrent with the International Biathlon World Cup race held at the same location. Bella will be coached, trained and ski with the USA Biathlon Team for a week.
