West Cashmere Bridge closed for replacement

Goodwin Bridge outside Cashmere, now undergoing a $25 million replacement.

CASHMERE — Today marks the first day Cashmere travelers will have to do without the Goodwin Road Bridge. The 91-year-old bridge on Cashmere’s west end is closed for the foreseeable future, while its replacement is built nearby. There will also be some traffic adjustments during the project to remove power lines and make other changes. The work is expected to run into the autumn, and cost about $25 million.
