Wenatchee’s Shopko will close its doors Sunday

The Wenatchee and Quincy Shopko stores will close their doors Sunday, but the optical department will stay open as a separate store.

Shopko declared bankruptcy in January and since that time has announced the closure of over 200 stores nationwide. The optical department, which was sold to an investment company, will be run out of the Shopko building until a new location is found.

The company is moving 80 Shopko optical locations to operate as independent stores including in Spokane and Union Gap. Saturday will be the last day to shop at Shopko and the hours tomorrow are 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
