Wenatchee woman faces felony charge after alleged hit-and-run

A 25-year-old Wenatchee woman has been arrested after she allegedly hit a utility pole and another vehicle Wednesday morning on Miller Street before fleeing the scene on foot.

Gabrielle Reierson was arrested later Wednesday at Central Washington Hospital, though it’s not believed she was at the hospital for injuries suffered in the wreck, said Wenatchee Police Department Capt. Edgar Reinfeld.

The driver of the Honda Accord that was hit did suffer minor injuries, bumping up the charges against Reierson to second-degree felony hit and run, Reinfeld said.

Police say Reierson’s Ford Escape hit the utility pole and the other vehicle about 5:20 a.m.

Miller Street was blocked off between Orchard and First streets for a short time while crews removed some telecom lines that were dislodged in the wreck.

Reierson was booked into the Chelan County Regional Justice Center but has since been released.
