Wenatchee’s newest grocery store is on schedule to open Feb. 1.
A WinCo corporate representative said Monday that construction work on the former ShopKo building on North Wenatchee Avenue is on track to be completed in December, meaning the company can then begin equipping the store.
The Boise, Idaho-based company is currently in the process of hiring employees for the store, with application materials available on its website.
WinCo is an employee-owned warehouse-type grocery store.
The Wenatchee store is 89,500-square-feet.
The company has spent about $6 million converting the former ShopKo building.
