Panthers Gear Up for Eastmont with Big Win

WENATCHEE, WA – Camden Sirmon threw for two touchdowns and ran for another and the Wenatchee defense came up with three interceptions and a fumble recovery as the Panthers dominated Walla Walla Friday 35-6…
The defensive tone of the night was set on the Blue Devil’s third play from scrimmage when JJ Jelsing intercepted Keldan Swant at Walla Walla’s 35-yard line. The Panthers scored 7 plays later on a one yard Nate Blauman touchdown run and it would be a great homecoming night from there.

Eastmont Manhandles Moses Lake in 35-0 Road Win

Also on the Les Schwab Prep Scoreboard in football Friday, Eastmont traveled to Moses Lake and had no trouble with the Chiefs, winning 35-nothing.
So that sets up the showdown this week in the Bridge of Sportsmanship game between Eastmont and Wenatchee at Lee Bofto Field in the Apple Bowl. The Wildcats are undefeated at 5-and-oh in Big 9 play. An Eastmont win would be its first Big 9 Title since 2012. A Wenatchee win, combined with a Sunnyside loss to Moses Lake, and the Panthers would win the Big 9. If Wenatchee and Sunnyside both win, that would force a tie-breaker, mini-playoff the following Tuesday.

We’ll have LIVE coverage Friday beginning with the Bridge of Sportsmanship Tailgate Show at 6 o’clock, followed by the game at 7 here on the NCWLIFE Channel.
