(Wenatchee, WA)…The Wenatchee Wild hosted Trail in a Saturday match at the Town Toyota Center during Military Appreciation Night.  NCWLIFE Channel Sports Director Eric Granstrom recaps the action.

Trail got off to the early lead with Luke Santerno lighting the lamp at the 17:47 mark of the 1st period.  Wenatchee evened it seconds into the 2nd period on Matt Baker’s 9th goal of the season.  AJ Vanderbeck gave the Wild the lead on a nice give-and-go from Troy Conzo.

Charlie Combs got his 25th goal to start the 3rd. Brian Williams followed with his 6th and 7th goals of the season to make it 5-1. Then, things got testy following a wicked check to the boards by Ryan Moon on Chad Sasaki. Austin Chavez retaliated. Then Dakota Raabe got into it with Ryan Warner. That’s when Trail’s Kyle Chernenkoff and the Wild’s Colin Burston squared off.  After several minutes of delays and ejections, the Wild added one more goal on an empty netter by Matt Baker.

Wenatchee’s 6-1 win is its 7th straight on the season and 9th in a row at home. Wenatchee travels to Chilliwack on Wednesday. Its next home game will be November 23rd against Chilliwack.
