Wenatchee teacher is one of three state finalists for STEM award

A Wenatchee teacher is one of three state finalists for the 2020 Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.

Wenatchee Internet Academy teacher Tina Nicpan Brown is now eligible to become a national finalist for the STEM teaching honor, which comes with $10,000 award.

The finalists for the state’s highest STEM award were selected by a statewide committee.

Yakima elementary school teacher Julie Fry and Everett elementary school teacher Allison Greenberg are the other two state finalists.

Brown previously was a teacher at Lincoln Elementary.
