Skyhawks invite you to work out

The Wenatchee Valley Skyhawks indoor football team continues to prepare for its first game two Saturday’s from now in Idaho. In the meantime, if you had a curiosity of how they work out, there’s a chance to experience it tonight…


The Skyhawks are hosting a “Train Like a Pro” event tonight at Wenatchee Valley College. The evening begins at 6 o’clock with a meet and greet and an opportunity to participate in Skyhawks training drills. The team will practice from 7-to-8 o’clock. The event is free to the public and will take place in the Jack and Edna Maguire Student Recreation Center on the Wenatchee Campus.

The Skyhawks first home game will be March 28th against the Reno Express. Wenatchee Valley is part of the four-team American West Football Conference.

Saint Mary’s upsets Gonzaga

The NCAA Tournament hasn’t even started, and we have an upset. Saint Mary’s beat the number one-ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs in the West Coast Conference Championship last night 60-to-47…

Gonzaga Upset

The Gaels played a slow-down game which Gonzaga could never figure out throughout the contest. The Bulldogs shot just 2-for-17 from beyond the arc and 37-percent from the field. With the win, Saint Mary’s earns the automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. Now the question will be if 30-and-3 Gonzaga still receives a Number 1 seed into the tournament.
