WENATCHEE, WA.- The Wenatchee School Board has narrowed down its list of consultants being considered in the search for a new Superintendent. At last night’s meeting the board selected four finalists to be interviewed next Monday afternoon. Three out-of-state firms and one from Liberty Lake are competing for the contract.

Washington State Firms:

Northwest Leadership Associates (Liberty Lake, WA)

Out of State Firms:

McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C (Omaha, NE)

Hazzard, Young, Attea & Associates (Schaumburg, IL)

Ray and Associates Inc. (Cedar Rapids, IA)

Board President, Michele Sandberg said last night’s action is a critical step in moving forward with the selection of the next Superintendent. “The Board looks forward to meeting with representatives from these firms and learning more about the services and process that each one provides. We also want to make sure that the firm we choose is a good match with our district,”

Brian Flones announced earlier this year that he will be retiring at the end of this school year. The final decision on a search consultant is scheduled for September 25th.
