Wenatchee School Board makes appointments to fill two vacancies


The Wenatchee School Board will be back up to five members next week after two new members were chosen by the three sitting members at Thursday night’s meeting.

Maria Iniguez and Julie Norton were chosen to replace the two board members who left in recent weeks. 

Iniguez is the executive assistant to Wenatchee Valley College President Jim Richardson, Norton is an attorney with Ogden Murphy Wallace. 

The two were chosen after the board interviewed seven finalists that were narrowed down from a list of 14 applicants. 

Iniguez and Norton will be sworn in this Tuesday before the regular board meeting.
