Wenatchee Police welcomes four new officers to the department. Here’s Chief of Police Steve Crown swearing in the rookies at a ceremony held Friday at the Museum.

From left to right are Chief Crown and Officers Zak Nesary, Josh Pearce, Rheid Cline, and Riley Koch. All four have long-term connections to the Wenatchee valley, graduating from Wenatchee, Eastmont, and Cashmere school districts.

All four are headed into the Field Training process where they will be partnered with training officers for roughly fourteen weeks each. After that, they will be assigned to a patrol shift to work independently. The process from hiring to working solo takes roughly nine months and includes over 1,300 hours of training.
