Wenatchee police say a Friday evening crash involving a suspected drunk driver could have been prevented. Only minor injuries resulted in the single-vehicle accident. Police described the incident on the Department’s Facebook page.

Police say it happened shortly after 7 pm. The driver was headed up Orondo Street and reportedly failed to make the left turn onto Okanogan Avenue. While attempting the turn, the vehicle went up onto the sidewalk and struck a city lamp pole, ripping the passenger front wheel and suspension off the SUV and putting it on its roof.
