Wenatchee business moving from downtown to former Food Pavilion site in Olds Station

Standard Paint and Flooring is relocating its downtown Wenatchee store to the former Food Pavilion building in Olds Station.

The retailer is in the process of refurbishing the former grocery store next to Big Lots and Gateway Cinema.

Standard Paint and Flooring will occupy half of the building.

The fate of the remaining half of the building is uncertain.

However, company officials did say they hope to lease it to another business..

It is unclear if that business has been determined yet.

The downtown Standard Paint and Flooring store and showroom will be demolished..

That property, at the corner of South Mission and Yakima Street, will be used for the development of a new multi-story housing complex.

The Wenatchee City Council recently approved an agreement with Weidner Apartments to develop the housing development on land situated on Mission Street between Kittitas and Yakima Streets.

The property includes the paint store and a city-owned parking lot.
