Tonight through Saturday night, we will see the Pacific ridge of high pressure begin to build. At this point, the ridge is not very well amplified and at times will allow some mid to high-level clouds to move through.
By Sunday and into Monday the upper level ridge will begin to build rapidly which will decrease cloud cover by Monday night and begin to warm us up. Each day from now until Thursday, we will see successive warming and light winds and by the end of next week we should see temperatures in the mid-70s to even lower-80s, which is about 3 to 6 degrees warmer than normal.
We could also see some of our area fires perk up next week but with cool and relatively humid overnights, not much fire spread is expected.
