A nice day is in store for Northcentral Washington today along with sunny skies and northwest wind 5-15 mph afternoon highs today expected to be in the low 70’s. Normal high for this time of year is 78 and we will be well below that over the next several days.
On Friday, a large area of low pressure sitting off the British Columbia coast will fuel a smaller low pressure system off Washington’s coast bring a decent chance for rain showers right through the weekend. There is a 20% chance of showers Friday and Friday night with highs near 70.
For the start to our weekend on Saturday, the instability continues with mostly cloudy skies and 20-30% chance of showers, highs in the upper 60’s. Sunday will be our best chance for rain; under mostly cloudy skies, we will see high temperatures only in the mid 60’s with a 40% chance of rain.
By Monday and through mid-week, weather models have some differences, but there is decent agreement that a drier pattern will develop with temperatures trending a bit warmer but remaining below average.
