A quiet and dry ridge is in place over the region this morning but satellite is showing a weak short wave weather system coming down the British coastline, which will bring increasing chances of light snow to the forecast area tomorrow and for Friday night.
We have a 30% chance of snow tomorrow and a 30% chance tomorrow night. This storm system looks to be our best chance for a white Christmas in the Wenatchee Valley. On Saturday, a polar air mass begins to bleed into the region from the north. This will be a seasonably cold period with overnight lows in the teens and daytime highs only approaching 20-25 degrees.
By Christmas Eve on Sunday and into the middle of next week, another system makes its way toward the Inland Northwest with the next threat of precipitation. At least for now, we only have about a 20% chance for snow throughout that forecast period.
