The Washington State Patrol made 7 DUI arrests in North Central Washington Saturday during its 4-20 emphasis patrols.
Four of those arrests were marijuana-related, said Trooper John Bryant. 420 is used to refer to marijuana and the last time April 20th fell on a Saturday there was a spike in collisions, the state patrol said.
Two of the marijuana driving arrests were in the Okanogan area and one each in Ephrata and Ellensburg, Bryant said, with the last happening early Sunday. The alcohol arrests were in Ephrata and Wenatchee.
