MOSES LAKE – The Moses Lake Police Department reports that over the last couple of weeks, vehicle prowlers have stolen several firearms (as well as other valuables) from cars in town.

All of the cars were unlocked and left unattended at the time of the theft. The Police Department urges everyone to take the steps necessary to avoid leaving guns and other valuables unattended in vehicles.

Vehicle prowls are a big problem in Moses Lake, and officers are working hard to find the suspects, but they say the public can help by not leaving valuables unattended in cars.

The press release also said the MLPD are big fans of the Second Amendment, and remind people that leaving guns in a vehicle, while legal, is not a good way to “keep” their arms.
