Boston Wins on Spectacular Catch by Benintendi

There’s nothing quite like the pitch-to-pitch, inning-to-inning drama of post-season baseball. Boston and Houston’s Game 4 at Minute Maid Park came down to a bottom of the 9th, bases-loaded, 2-out situation with the Astro’s best hitter, Alex Bregman, facing the Red Sox’ best closer, Craig Kimbrel.

Houston trailed 8-6. Bregman drove Kimbrel’s first pitch on a sinking, line drive to left field, where Boston’s Andrew Benintendi made a spectacular, diving catch to preserve the win and put the Red Sox one win away from returning to the World Series…

Now that we had a winner, it was time to win it all. That’s tomorrow on our tribute to Paul Allen, who passed away from cancer this week at the age of 65.
