Two teen brothers arrested after drive-by shooting in Moses Lake

Two teens have been arrested after a drive-by shooting Saturday morning in Moses Lake in which one of the intended victims fired back and injured a person in the suspects’ car.

Moses Lake police said about 10 a.m. a gold Cadillac passed the victim’s car as he was leaving his residence.

The victim later encountered the Cadillac stopped in the middle of the roadway in the 300 block of Earl Road.

A passenger in the rear of the Cadillac reportedly began firing shots and police said the legally armed victim fired back with a handgun, hitting a person in the Cadillac.

A short time later a 15-year-old showed up at Samaritan Hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg but he was released before detectives could establish probable cause for an arrest, police said.

After obtaining an arrest warrant, the city’s tactical team raided a home in the 2200 block of Basin Street early Sunday morning and arrested without incident the 15-year-old and his 17-year-old brother on two counts of first-degree assault and drive-by shooting.

They also reported seizing the gold Cadillac, which had bullet holes in one side.

Anyone with information about or video of the shooting is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Kyle McCain at 509-764-3896.
