The Easton/Sparks Road exit off Interstate 90 has been closed after a double-fatality accident this morning. The Washington State Patrol is investigating the wreck, with few details now available.
However, the State Patrol did say Monday afternoon that the driver who caused the accident is in custody for vehicular homicide.
But WSP said the exit is likely to be closed an extended period and motorists are being advised to use Exit 71.
On Sunday, Highway 10, which runs parallel to I-90, was shut down about seven miles west of Ellensburg after a disabled motorhome burst into flames.
The motorhome fire ignited a brush fire along the highway but fire crews were quickly able to get both the vehicle and brush extinguished.
Nobody was injured in that incident.
