Two men were injured late Friday afternoon when a semi rolled on its side on Highway 17 south of Bridgeport.
A passenger in the truck, Taranjeed Singh, 29, had to be airlifted to Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee where he is in stable condition.
The driver, Harminder Singh, 26, was taken to Three Rivers Hospital in Brewster. The seriousness of his injuries is not yet known.
Both men are from Surrey, British Columbia.
The Washington State Patrol said the semi was southbound about 10 miles south of Bridgeport when it left the roadway to its right.
It then rolled and came to a rest on the passenger’s side in a ditch.
Trooper John Bryant of the WSP said the semi was hauling fruit and went 25 feet off the roadway, with the trailer coming apart at the seams.
The accident happened about 4 p.m. and no other vehicles were involved.
The highway was blocked, or partially blocked, for several hours.
