Two injured in two-vehicle accident on Highway 2 near Hartline


Two people were injured – one seriously – after a two-car accident Monday afternoon on Highway 2 near Hartline.

The Washington State Patrol reports that shortly before 4 p.m. a Dodge Ram pickup being driven northbound on Road R by Kaylyn Burton, 36, of Coulee Dam failed to stop at the intersection with Highway 2.

Her pickup then collided with a Ford F-150 truck being driven by Darrel Parsons, 63, of Coulee City.

Parsons was airlifted to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane,

Burton was transported to the Grand Coulee Medical Center.

Burton faces charges of failure to yield at a stop sign.
