WENATCHEE,WA.-Another driver is cited for driving too fast for the icy road conditions causing a two-vehicle injury collision near Entiat.
State Troopers say it happened around 5:30 yesterday afternoon. It was snowing when 46 year old Roberto Montes of Chelan skidded over the centerline driving an SUV Northbound on Hwy 97-A about a mile North of Entiat.
Montes’ vehicle was struck broadside by a Southbound pick-up driven by 46 year old Thomas Collins of Cashmere. Montez was transported to Confluence Health for treatment. Collins was injured but not transported. The roadway was blocked for about an hour.
Recent winter storms have led to numerous traffic accidents on North Central Washington roadways.
