Two charged in alleged beating and robbery

WENATCHEE — Two Wenatchee Valley residents are accused of a strongarm robbery that left one man beaten and robbed of his phone, cash and vehicle paperwork.

Lance Matthew Purser, 34, of East Wenatchee and 23-year-old Noemi Lara of Wenatchee are charged with robbery, kidnapping and assault, plus related lesser charges. Wenatchee police say on Aug. 21, the two suspects brought the victim to Lara’s home on Monitor Avenue, then beat, choked and robbed him. Two more unknown suspects allegedly participated in the crime.

Police say the assailants also rifled the victim’s car and stole vehicle registrations. Both are now held in the Chelan County Regional Justice Center, with Pursell’s bail set at $250,000 and Lara’s at $50,000. They face arraignment tomorrow.
