An impatient baby decided to make an early entry into the world along a highway near Twisp over the weekend.
Thanks to a law enforcement assist, it all turned out OK.
After it was clear the mother-to-be wasn’t going to make it to the hospital, Washington State Patrol Trooper Travis Cunningham stepped in to help.
According to Trooper John Bryant, Cunningham helped deliver baby Luke alongside Highway 153 south of Twisp at about 6:30 Sunday night.
Bryant reports that Luke, his mother Amy and father Joseph are all doing great.
