Trial for Rock Island man accused of killing his wife in 2018 delayed during appeal

Ului Teulilo, the Rock Island man accused of murdering his wife three years ago, will not go to trial as scheduled this month.

The Oct. 16 trial date was delayed this week while Teulilo appeals rulings made by Douglas County Judge Brian Huber.

Douglas County sheriff’s deputies found his spouse, Peggy Teulilo, 68, bludgeoned to death in their trailer home in July 2018.

Back in August, Huber ruled that the deputies entered the home lawfully.

But Teulilo wants the Court of Appeals to suppress evidence gathered during that entry. A new trial date may be set at a hearing in November.

Ului Teulilo remains in the Okanogan County Jail.
