Travel on Highway 17 will be slowed today as crews clean up mess from semi rollover


Travelers should expect delays on Highway 17 east of Bridgeport today as a state crews clean up cargo dumped in a semi rollover.

Flaggers are controlling traffic during the cleanup.

Boxes and debris are strewn throughout the site, so the delays could last into the evening.

The semi, carrying fruit Friday afternoon, left the roadway and rolled on its side.

The Washington State Patrol said it split at the seams.

Injured in the wreck were both the driver and his passenger.

Both men are from British Columbia and were last reported in stable condition.

The highway was blocked for several hours after the accident.
