WENATCHEE – 2017 was a year of change in the Wenatchee School District. The biggest story covered by NCWLIFE News was the Wenatchee School Board elections and the emergence of a new power structure to guide future District policy decisions.
Voters elected three new board members who were swept into office on a shared campaign pledge calling for change and more transparency. Sunny Hemphill, Sara Knox and Michelle Sandberg sat down with NCWLIFE News soon after filing for the board positions. . .
The three new board members didn’t waste any time with their agenda for change. The three used their new found power to change board policy to enable Sandberg to be elected the new board chair and Knox as her Vice Chair.
