One man is dead and another has been arrested for first-degree murder after an altercation at a Tonasket residence Saturday night.
Okanogan County deputies responded about 5:39 p.m. to 319 S. Whitcomb, Ave., on a call of a man who had been assaulted and was covered with blood.
Medics arrived to find that the man had died.
Later Saturday night they arrested Anthony Mateo, 34, of Tonasket in the Loomis area.
The 57-year-old man who was killed has not yet been identified.
