Today’s weather will be breezy, cool and showery as an upper level trough hangs over the Pacific Northwest. Widely scattered thunderstorms capable of brief downpours and cloud to ground lightning are expected this afternoon and early this evening. The Wenatchee Valley can expect mostly sunny skies early today with increasing clouds and a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms by this afternoon. Winds will kick up as well out of the northwest 15-25 mph with gusts as high as 36 mph, afternoon highs today will top out in the mid to upper 60’s.
By tonight and the Wenatchee High School graduation at the Apple Bowl at 8:00 p.m., weather forecast is calling for partly cloudy skies and windy conditions 10-20 mph with gusts to 30 mph and evening temperatures in the upper 50’s.
Saturday will be another cooler than normal day but as cool as we’ve seen over the past couple of days. Expect sunny skies tomorrow and still a bit breezy out of the northwest 10-15 mph with afternoon high temperatures in the lower to mid 70’s.
On Sunday, a ridge of high pressure of the Oregon Coast will intensify bringing mostly sunny weather, calm winds and afternoon highs in the mid to upper 70’s.
Monday and all of next week our weather is expected to be dry with much warmer temperatures possibly even record-setting high temperatures. Monday will be mostly sunny and 85, Tuesday mostly sunny and 90 degrees while Wednesday and Thursday will be our hottest days under mostly sunny skies, afternoon high temperatures will reach the lower to mid-90’s with overnight lows in the mid 60’s.
