Today, right through the end of the week, a strong ridge of high pressure will be the key weather-player. The ridge will provide mild, dry air for all of Northcentral Washington until a storm system moves in on Saturday. The Northern Valleys could experience some patchy freezing fog but will clear out during the day with sunny to mostly sunny skies.
Northcentral Washington can expect sunny skies Monday through Friday with a northwest wind today 10-15 mph then calm for the rest of the week with afternoon high temperatures in the mid 40’s until Friday then the upper 40’s heading into the weekend.
A weather system moves into our area on Saturday flattening out our ridge of high pressure bringing cloudy skies and a 40% chance of rain maybe mixed with snow, highs Saturday in the upper 40’s.
A more robust wave of moisture is expected late Saturday into Sunday and it will carry a Low through Southern British Columbia and bring a decent push of moisture with it. Expect a 40 % chance of a rain/snow mix Saturday night and a 30% chance of rain on Sunday with highs Sunday afternoon in the upper 40’s.
