Moses Lake police responded to three shootings over the weekend, including one that was fatal and another in which a homeowner shot an intruder.
The fatal shooting happened Saturday afternoon when police responded to a shooting report in the 1300 block of Marina Drive to find 24-year-old Radel P. Llamas with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.
He later died at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake.
Detectives have not yet located a suspect in that shooting but are reviewing video footage of the area, police said.
About midnight Sunday, Grant County Sheriff’s Office deputies reported spotting a stolen vehicle near Wheeler Road and O Road but when the vehicle failed to stop deputies discontinued the pursuit.
Moses Lake police later located the stolen vehicle in the 1400 block of Cougar Drive. While they were setting up a perimeter, a woman called from a nearby residence to say she had shot at someone who had broken into her home.
Moses Lake police said they arrested the unidentified suspect as he was leaving the woman’s home and he was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
On Sunday morning police responded to a report of multiple gunshots in the 2000 block of Peninsula where they found several spent shell casings in the road.
Police said they were able to identify suspect vehicles after reviewing video footage of the area but no arrests have yet been made.
