Suspect arrested, another being sought in burglary at Palisades School

One man has been arrested and another is being sought for a Saturday morning burglary at Palisades School, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Tools, an air compressor, fuel and a school bus were taken from the school.

Arrested was Devon R. Taylor, 27, of East Wenatchee. Still being sought is Jordan S. McCullough-Cheney, 19 of Wenatchee.

The two were identified using video footage from the stolen bus, the sheriff’s office said.

The bus was left abandoned alongside Palisades Road in the 1400 block, which led to a call to the sheriff’s office at 7:36 a.m.

The two are accused of breaking a window in the maintenance building to gain entrance.

Palisades is a two-room school serving about 25 students from kindergarten through fifth grade.
