WENATCHEE — The motorist accused of leading a reckless chase through western Wenatchee two weeks ago faces a Jan. 21 trial on charges of DUI, hit and run, eluding police and driving on a suspended license.
Timothy Marc Fryhover, 53, allegedly drove away after causing a two-car accident on Springwater Avenue Nov. 18, and crashed his Kia Sorento into two Chelan PUD power boxes and a number of other obstacles before police stopped him about 16 blocks away.
The chase wound from Springwater to Cedar Wood Lane. Along the way, the car smashed a parked vehicle, a dirt embankment, and two power boxes, before a Wenatchee police squad car rammed it to a stop.
Prosecutors formally arraigned Fryhover on Monday in Chelan County Superior Court. His license was already suspended from a previous DUI hit-and-run back in May, and he allegedly had a half-empty bottle of vodka in his vehicle at the time of the Nov. 18 crash. Fryhover remained jailed in the Chelan County Regional Justice Center as of Thursday on $100,000 bond.
