A strong ridge of high pressure will lead to our temperatures steadily climbing through Sunday with afternoon highs 10 to 15 degrees above normal for this time of year. The breezy winds will calm down as the pressure gradient loosens across Northcentral Washington but some areas will still have periods of breezy winds mainly during the afternoon. Weather forecast for the Columbia Basin and Wenatchee Valley today calling for sunny skies, light wind with unseasonably warm temperatures in the mid to upper 70’s.
Expect even warmer weather for Saturday and Sunday with sunny skies with afternoon high temperatures around 80 degrees Saturday and in the lower 80’s on Sunday.
A trough of low pressure will slide south through the Idaho Panhandle on Monday and will travel south and east along the Northern Rockies. Our air-flow will change direction bringing much cooler temperatures, basically, closer to normal for this time of year.
Expect sunny skies Monday and possibly breezy conditions with afternoon highs in the upper 60’s.
The rest of the week the weather will be pretty uneventful as temperatures gradually climb back above seasonal normal through Thursday. Tuesday through Thursday, Northcentral Washington will see sunny skies and warm temperatures with afternoon highs each day generally in the lower to mid-70’s.
