One person was killed and three people were hospitalized in a two-vehicle accident late Sunday afternoon just outside Moses Lake.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office said the first vehicle was southbound about 4:20 p.m. on Road F Northeast and failed to yield at a stop sign.
That vehicle then collided with another vehicle traveling east on Road 4 Northeast.
Three occupants of the first vehicle were hospitalized, with one taken by Life Flight to Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee where they later died. The other two were transported to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake, as was the driver of the second vehicle.
The extent of the injuries and the identities of the four has not yet been released.
The Sheriff’s Office said the collision remains under investigation. The intersection was closed until 9 p.m.
