Stevens Pass Ski Area has a new permanent general manager.
The resort in the high Cascades will be headed by Ellen Galbraith, a University of Washington alumnus who’s been an operations manager for Stevens’ ownership company, Vail Resorts.
Vail fired general manager Tom Pettigrew back in January, during a ski season that was troubled by worker shortages and closed courses.
Stevens has been run by an interim manager ever since.
Galbraith, 41, previously worked as mountain operations manager at Beaver Creek Resort in Colorado, and at Northstar Resort in California.
She’s scheduled to start at Stevens Pass in early June.
