State Volleyball Update

Eastmont, Brewster Stumble, Pateros & Cascade Win

2047

(Yakima, WA)…Cascade will place at the State 1A Volleyball Tournament in Yakima, but it won’t be a title.  The Kodiaks lost for the first time this season in Friday’s quarterfinal match with Lynden Christian.  The Lady Lions downed the Kodiaks 25-23, 25-15, 25-22.  Dropping back to a morning consolation bracket game Saturday morning, the Cascade girls bounced back with a 3-1 victory over La Center (25-18, 21-25, 25-16, 25-16).  Cascade plays for 5th or 6th against Cedarpark Christian today at 3 p.m.

In Kennewick, the Eastmont season came to an end Friday afternoon in a hard-fought, loser-out match with Lake Stevens.  The Lady Cats fought back after dropping the 1st set 17-25 to win the second 29-27 and third 25-23.  But maybe that sapped what emotional energy was left for Eastmont as they fell in the 4th set 18-25 and the 5th and final set 9-15.
