The state is offering $2 million dollars in grant funds to help public agencies deal with drought conditions in Washington.

The Department of Ecology began accepting applications for up to $350,000 dollars to be used for projects such as emergency standby wells or to help hatcheries maintain cool, clean water for fish. Governor Jay Inslee declared a drought emergency in April that included the Methow and Okanogan basins. He added 24 basins to the declaration in May, including Wenatchee, Entiat and Chelan.
