Stabbing suspect arrested following 4 month investigation

Following a 4-month investigation, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department make an arrest involving a 2017 stabbing incident in Bridgeport. In a press release earlier today, the Sheriff’s Office says following the investigation probable cause was established for the arrest of 23-year old Don Crow on charges of 1st degree assault.

The incident happened back on September 24th, 2017 when officers were called to Three Rivers Hospital in Brewster because a male had been admitted with a knife wound. Investigators say a fight had occurred at a residence in the 800 block of Fairview in Bridgeport where 21-year old Victor Valdovinos Vazquez was stabbed. Vazquez was then flown to Confluence Hospital in Wenatchee.

Crow fled the scene and was arrested last Thursday in Yakima. He is charged with 1st degree assault and is currently being held in the Okanogan County Jail.
