The ‘Sox jumped out to an early lead in the bottom of the 1st on Joey Magro’s 2-run single and JT Swartz’s RBI fielder’s choice. Wenatchee had extended its lead to 4-0 on Nick Seamons’ RBI single in the 2nd before Williams and Rathbone left the yard in the 5th and 7th innings…

Bells Manage to Walk-Off AGAIN!

Cole Hamilton was 2-for-5 and scored 3-times as Corvallis jumped all over Bend 12-to-3 at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field. Zak Taylor also drove in two runs while scoring twice as the Knights won for the 30th time this season.

The Bells did it again! Zach Needham hit a 2-run, walk-off home run in the bottom of the 9th to lead Bellingham to a 4-2 win over Cowlitz at Joe Martin Field.

Taylor Wright’s RBI-double in the top of the 8th broke a 2-all tie and pushed Kelowna to a 34-2 road win at Walla Walla.

Tyler Lasch walks off with an RBI-single in the bottom of the 9th as Yakima Valley comes all the way back from a 7-run deficit to beat Victoria 10-9 at County Stadium.
Daniel Edson’s 3-run home run highlighted a 5-run 6th inning as Portland won a non-league game at Gresham 7-to-2.

Bend plays again at Corvallis at 6. Yakima Valley hosts Victoria at 6:35. That’s the same start time for Kelowna at Walla Walla and Bellingham hosting Cowlitz. And in a non-league game, Portland plays at Gresham again at 6:35.

Pitcher’s Duel Becomes Slugfest For Astros in 5-2 Win

Evan Gattis hit a tie-breaking, 2-run home run in the 6th and Josh Reddick added a 2-run shot in the 9th as Houston snapped a 5-game losing streak with a 5-2 win at Seattle…
The game was a 1-1 tie through 5 and a pitcher’s duel between Mike Leake and Charlie Morton. Leake had allowed just one run on 5-hits through 5, but gave up a lead-off double to Alex Bregman before Gattis homered to left. Charlie Morton got the win for Houston, going six innings and allowing 2-runs on 6-hits with 8-strikeouts.

Manager Scott Servais was pleased with the pitching of his starter…


Servais was referring to the two, newest additions to the Seattle lineup, relief pitchers Sam Tuivailala and Zach Duke.

The M’s and Stros wrap up the three-game series today at 1:10 when Wade LeBlanc goes up against Dallas Keuchel.

Mariners Make Trade Deadline Deal for Cameron Maybin

The Mariners made one more move prior to yesterday’s trade deadline. General Manager Jerry Dipoto acquired veteran center fielder Cameron Maybin from the Florida Marlins for a minor league infielder and cash. Maybin was an off-season, free-agent signing for the Marlins and has hit .251 this year with 3 home runs and 20-RBi’s. Dan Altavilla was moved from the 10-day to the 60-day disabled list to make room on Seattle’s roster.

Tampa Bay brought 12-men to the plate in a 7-run 4th inning and went on to beat Los Angeles 10-6 at Tropicana Field.

Zack Godley threw 7-innings of 2-hit, shutout ball while fanning 10 as Arizona blanked Texas 6-nothing.

And Khris Davis was 3-for-5 with a home run and 2-RBI to lead Oakland to a 6-2 win over Toronto. The A’s now trail Seattle by just one game in the Wild Card race.
