The Bells did it again! Zach Needham hit a 2-run, walk-off home run in the bottom of the 9th to lead Bellingham to a 4-2 win over Cowlitz at Joe Martin Field.
Taylor Wright’s RBI-double in the top of the 8th broke a 2-all tie and pushed Kelowna to a 34-2 road win at Walla Walla.
Tyler Lasch walks off with an RBI-single in the bottom of the 9th as Yakima Valley comes all the way back from a 7-run deficit to beat Victoria 10-9 at County Stadium.
Daniel Edson’s 3-run home run highlighted a 5-run 6th inning as Portland won a non-league game at Gresham 7-to-2.

The game was a 1-1 tie through 5 and a pitcher’s duel between Mike Leake and Charlie Morton. Leake had allowed just one run on 5-hits through 5, but gave up a lead-off double to Alex Bregman before Gattis homered to left. Charlie Morton got the win for Houston, going six innings and allowing 2-runs on 6-hits with 8-strikeouts.

Mariners Make Trade Deadline Deal for Cameron Maybin
The Mariners made one more move prior to yesterday’s trade deadline. General Manager Jerry Dipoto acquired veteran center fielder Cameron Maybin from the Florida Marlins for a minor league infielder and cash. Maybin was an off-season, free-agent signing for the Marlins and has hit .251 this year with 3 home runs and 20-RBi’s. Dan Altavilla was moved from the 10-day to the 60-day disabled list to make room on Seattle’s roster.
